We hope every one of you is fine and is as excited of the exchange next week as we are. Here in Germany we are getting prepared for the trip in case of packing our luggage and buying a few useful things like a mosquito net.
In July we had a meeting in Mainz where we were working at a project called “Fair-Nasch-Mich”. We want to collect all the stores and restaurants that sell or work with fairtrade products in Mainz and the surrounding area, so we get a big list where everyone can look where they can get fairtrade products. When we finished that list, we want to publish it in three ways: The first way is on the website www.fairnaschmich.de, where everyone is able to have a look on all the time. The second way is going to be a small booklet, which will be handed out at KLJB events. The third way to publish that list is to create an Application for a Smartphone, where it should be possible to create a map, where all the stores and restaurants are involved, so you can see, how far it is to the next store/restaurant.
When we’re back from Kenya we’ll continue working on that project!
